The present lot is a very rare and well-preserved watch from the ’30s. It is a rare oversized Longines Weems pilot’s wristwatch with sweep center seconds and Weems second setting system. The new setting system was named after Captain Philip Van Horn Weems, U.S. Navy who also trained the famous aviator Charles A. Lindbergh. The present lot is in overall good condition, a true “time capsule” piece.
