Released in 2002, Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak Offshore Rubber Clad was the first watch featuring a rubber covered bezel and only the second watch to make use of a rubber strap. Produced in both stainless steel and 18k pink gold, the use of rubber in horology was quite revolutionary, but added a modern flare, and making a luxury sports watch even more an accessory for the outdoorsman. The present lot is in excellent original condition, with a lovely anthracite tapisserie dial, and is accompanied with box, original certificate and extract of archives.
