In 1988 Rolex launches on the market its first automatic chronograph, waterproof up to 100 m. This superb example in steel and gold version is an early “N” series. Although this model is around 30 years old, it is already obtained a cult status amongst collectors. This example in pristine original conditions is complete with its original guarantee, its original sticker on the caseback. This example is published in “Rolex collecting Wristwatches” book by Osvaldo Patrizzi, Edition 2001, p. 467 and come from Mondani collection of wristwatches. The present lot would be a lovely addition to any fine sports watch collectors.
