Cartier is mostly renowned for its jewellery or fine wristwatches but the firm also produced some remarkable lady’s timepieces which nowadays are really difficult to find. The number of production of these kind of objects is really low and even lower is the number of pieces that has passed through the auction market: for this reason the lot offered here is a really rare chance and opportunity to purchase an unusual example of high craftmanship. Made entirely in 18k yellow gold, its unique structure with baguette rectangular shape is absolutely elegant. It is equipped with a mask really easy to open, under which is located a delicate square dial with baton indexes, hidden when the mask is closed. Preserved in excellent condition, this timepiece must have been worn sparingly throughout its lifetime as it hardly displays any wear.
