The example here offered is part of the reference 1593 also called by Italian collectors “Tegola” and is one of the best examples of the many rectangular watches ever produced by Patek. This flared case in 18k yellow gold has been preserved in crisp original condition and is completed by the iconic sloping glass. The present watch is distinguished not only by the superb condition of its case, but also for the tile bracelet in yellow gold and most notably for the special argentè dial with applied diamond indexes. This special configuration of dial is extremely rare to be found and gives that special touch to an already incredible watch. With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with diamond hour markers in 1961 and its subsequent sale on 10 May 1961.
