Preserved in excellent original overall condition, the present timepiece is a very rare and highly attractive example of the Submariner reference 5508. This 1959 gorgeous specimen has a three-body tonneau screw down back case with 6 mm. winding crown in stainless steel of esteemed quality with a nice oyster riveted bracelet also in steel. The bidirectional revolving bezel graduation is likewise correct for the model, with the first fifteen minutes indicated by individual strokes. What contributes to emphasize this watch is the highly attractive condition of the black gilt dial with gilt printing and beautifully ocher luminous material to the numerals. With strong proportions of the case and a mint-black dial, the present 5508 is simply incredible.
