The Rolex Day-Date was first introduced at the Basel Fair in 1956 and carried the reference 6611. The present example is a reference 6611B and was manufactured just a couple of years later, in 1958, and has been retained in original and original condition. This is a very rare specimen of reference 6611B and attractiveness is further increased by the massive 18k yellow-gold case with screw and crown back, ribbed bezels and the original hallmarks still visible. The matte silver dial has applied curved faceted yellow-gold baton indexes, outer minutes/seconds track, apertures for the date and the day in English and is full charisma and charm. The watch is also equipped with a nice and solid yellow-gold jubilee bracelet with original Rolex clasp.
