The Datejust reference 1601 was introduced in 1959 as a variant of the 1600 with a reeded bezel. The present example was manufactured in 1973 and features a rare and delightful champagne dial with applied baton indexes and hands, creating a perfect blend with the yellow-gold Oyster case. This three-body case is wonderfully well preserved and has no evident signs of wearing but very deep and clear hallmarks on the lugs. It is powered by the caliber 1570 with “œil-de-perdrix” decoration.
