The present Vacheron Constantin ref.4642 is believed to be from a small series of watches made in the 1950s as a special order for the household of King Saud bin Abdul Aziz, in commemoration of his accession to the throne in 1953. This very rare yellow-gold case is still very well preserved and presents no lugs with the strap that goes directly into the case. The silvered dial offers yellow gold applied baton numerals, seconds at 6 while at 3 o’clock the enamel Saudi logo, and at 9 the portrait of King Saud bin Abdul Aziz.
