The Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller reference 116660 that debuted in 2008 and is still in production took inspiration from the very first Sea-Dweller introduced in 1967 in collaboration with COMEX. The here offered Deepsea features a ceramic bezel, the newly Ringlock System and a larger and thicker 44mm case making it the largest Rolex ever appeared on the market for sale. Nicknamed “James Cameron”, it was a tribute to his expedition to explore and document the deepest part of the ocean where no human has ever conquered in 2012. The main difference between this model and the regular Deepsea Sea-Dweller is the blue dial that goes from almost black, dark blue to a lighter blue at the top of the dial; representing the ocean as you get deeper the water gets darker. Offered in remarkable conditions, this specimen is accompanied by the original guarantee, fitted presentation box and booklets.
