The Rolex GMT Master was first introduced in 1954 with the reference 6542, but the model is still manufactured today under the name GMT Master II. The GMT-Master II utilizes a movement that has the additional capability of an independently adjustable hour hand, which can be adjusted in one-hour increments without stopping the second hand or disturbing the minute hand or 24-hour hand. The present watch is a very nice exponent of this family still very well preserved: the case in stainless steel is embellished by the iconic bracelet, the black dial sees applied luminescent dagger, the Mercedes-style hands and the red arrowhead 24 hour indicator hand. The bidirectional revolving bezel calibrated for 24 hours has the classic bi-color structure in black and red called "Coke". To complete the watch is presented with its original Rolex box and warranty
