Founded in Geneva in 1755 by Jean-Marc Vacheron, the traditional luxury watch manufacturer Vacheron Constantin has its origins in the circles of the Geneva Cabinotiers. From the beginning, Constantin Vacheron produced high-quality custom-made precious watches for his customers like the present lot. This specimen is even more desirable not only for the yellow-gold trapezoid-shaped case preserved in notable conditions and the original 18k gold buckle but mainly for the decoration on the bezel where a stripe of diamonds for each side embellish the watch. The dial has a classical design with argentè background, painted Roman numbers and baton indexes. On the other side, the case back is engraved and secured by 4 screws, the watch is completed by hooded lugs and a sapphire crystal.
