Gérald Genta has become a household name as one of the most important horologers in recent times. Notably known for being the designer of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and the Patek Philippe Nautilus, Genta was also known for creating some of the most fascinating timepieces under his own brand name. After obtaining a special license from Disney at the end of the 1980s, Gérald Genta would express his creativity with these fabulous characters onto his innovative timepieces. Since then, the firm has produced a diverse series of timepieces featuring the renowned Mickey Mouse and his peers. The example here offered shows Mickey Mouse in the stance of walking in his typical position, with the two arms indicating the hours and the minutes. Equipped on a stainless steel octagonal, stepped case preserved in remarkable conditions, the watch is also embellished with a surface of the dial manufactured in light mother-of-pearl.
