Born in Bern, Switzerland, in 1959, Pierre Kunz has been involved in the watchmaking industry for more than twenty years. Known by collectors as the master of retrograde, Pierre Kunz envisions innovative ways to display the elapsing time. Limited to 200 examples, this Pierre Kunz chronograph features two interesting aspects. First is the retrograde chronograph minute and hour indications. The other is the AM/PM indication. As the hands pass midnight, the sub-dial shifts to change from either light to dark at all the hour markers. In the partially skeletonized dial, just above the 6 o’clock hour marker is an aperture that reads AM or PM in Art Nouveau font. The dial is finished in black to contrast with the rose-gold bezel but matching with the rest of the PVD case: a truly mesmerizing look. Encased in 18k pink gold and PVD coated stainless steel, this watch offers a lot to look at.
