The Toric Chronographe draws inspiration from Michel Parmigiani’s first timepiece, designed in 1996, and stands as a testament to the brand’s commitment to blending traditional watchmaking techniques with innovative design. Introduced in 1997, the Toric collection was Parmigiani’s inaugural line of watches, symbolizing the watchmaker’s vision of creating timeless wristwatches that embody the “golden ratio.” This exquisite timepiece features a meticulously crafted white-gold case, further embellished with a graduated brilliant-cut diamond bezel that adds a touch of precious elegance. The dial showcases intricate detailing, with a black center adorned with “Écaille de Poisson” guilloché, contrasted by a silvered satin ring with Arabic numerals and a discreet date window between 1 and 2 o’clock. An outer black ring with a red scale adds a sophisticated touch. The dial configuration is thoughtfully arranged, featuring sub-dials for chronograph functions, including a 30-minute counter, a 12-hour counter, and a small seconds display. The watch is powered by an in-house mechanical caliber 400Z, visible through a sapphire case back. The Toric collection holds a special place in Parmigiani’s legacy as the brand’s foundational line. The Toric Chronographe, in particular, exemplifies the brand’s ethos of combining classical design with modern horological innovations.
