The Rolex Daytona ref. 116 518, introduced at the dawn of the 21st century, marks a significant advancement in the series with the launch of the in-house cal. 4130 movement, replacing the previous El Primero cal. 4030. This yellow-gold chronograph is notable for its prized dark mother-of-pearl dial featuring Roman numerals. The dial’s iridescent purple hue contrasts beautifully with the gold case, enhancing the watch’s elegant and sophisticated allure. This particular specimen, bearing a “K” serial, dates back to 2001 and is exceptionally well-preserved, still retaining its original stickers on the lugs, which confirm its quality and remarkable state of preservation. However, the true rarity of this piece is revealed on the caseback: the engraved Khanjar logo. The Omani emblem is highly prized by collectors, making this Daytona part of a limited series specially requested with this unique personalization. Discontinued and no longer in production, this exceptional hard stone masterpiece is a stunning addition to any collection. It comes complete with its original box and warranty, signed by the Omani-based reseller Khimji Ramdas Muscat, enhancing its desirability and authenticity.
