Introduced in 1956, the Rolex Day-Date collection has consistently been celebrated as a symbol of luxury and sophistication. As Rolex’s flagship line, the Day-Date has been produced almost exclusively in precious metals, with only a handful of stainless steel prototypes ever made. Among these precious metal models, the platinum versions, like the present example, stand out as especially rare and highly coveted by collectors. The present reference 1804 is further embellished with a beautiful diamond-set bezel, enhancing both the aesthetics and heft of the platinum case. The use of '4' in the reference number denotes Rolex's incorporation of diamonds on the bezel. Preserved in excellent overall condition with English calendar, strong proportions and a crisp hallmark, the dial is equally well-preserved, with all lume plots having evenly aged and showcasing a warm hue.
