The lot offered here is an exceptional piece of design and craftsmanship by Gübelin: a pocket watch with minute-repeating, keyless winding, and a seconds register at six o’clock. The combined elements of the white dial harmonize in a symphony with applied Breguet numerals and outer dot minute divisions. The platinum case, preserved in very nice condition, is further embellished with a slider button for the minute repeating function. The movement is simply wonderful, with the repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band—an appreciated feature found in some of the best vintage timepieces, highly valued by collectors.
