The lot offered here is part of family of the iconic Majetek models supplied to the Czechoslovak Air Force during the 1930s but it was destined to civilian use and wasn't assigned, as indicated by the absence of numbers and the inscription "Majetek - Vojenské Správy" on the back. The case is oversized at 40 mm, which was very large for the time period, and is manufactured in stainless steel with a three-body cushion shape. Very nicely preserved, it features a rotating, fluted bezel with a coin-edge finish and a large crown, enhancing its functionality. The watch also boasts a black dial with white luminous Arabic numerals and hands filled with luminescent radium for high legibility. A railroad minutes track, small seconds subdial, and a protective flat unbreakable crystal complete the structure of this massive yet elegant watch. Historic and rare, this “Big Turtle” is a highly collectible item for enthusiasts.
