Rolex introduced the Datejust in 1945, and it has since become one of the brand's most iconic watches. The name "Datejust" comes from its innovative feature of displaying the date instantaneously at midnight. This particular example is a distinguished Datejust reference 6105, which represents the larger case version of the Bubble Back model produced between 1951 and 1953. The watch boasts a classic waterproof Oyster case in stainless steel, complemented by a yellow gold bezel. Its dial is especially remarkable, having transformed from its original white to a stunning tropical silver-yellow color. The dial is adorned with applied dagger numerals and alpha rhodium hands, and it lacks the "cyclops" lens, offering a clearer view of the roulette black/red date display.
