This exquisite Longines bi-compax chronograph features a moon phase and date, housed in an 18 kt solid gold case. The watch functions include hours, minutes, running seconds at 9 o'clock, date, moon phase, chronograph seconds, and a 30-minute totalizer at 3 o'clock. The solid gold case shows no wear marks upon close inspection. The left side of the case has a push button for the moon phase, while the right side has two push buttons for the chronograph and a crown. The chronograph pushers operate smoothly, delivering a satisfying tactile response. The dial is adorned with gold Arabic numerals and baton for the hours and Arabic painted numerals for the minutes, date, and sub-registers. The champagne dial is pristine, highlighted by the date and a blue moon phase indicator. Powered by the rare and elusive caliber Longines 502, this movement is considered the "missing link" between Valjoux movements (particularly the 7733) and Longines' fully in-house movements. The combination of its rare movement, impeccable dial condition, and array of functions make this Longines a truly remarkable timepiece.
