Created in the 1960s, the present Gucci wristwatch is a distinctive example of the Maison’s early approach to watchmaking, when its creations combined traditional Swiss horology with the bold, jewellery-inspired aesthetic for which Gucci was becoming renowned.

The watch features a rectangular 0.800 silver case with clean geometric lines, complemented by an unusual integrated bracelet in 925 sterling silver. The bracelet is particularly striking for its articulated construction and contrasting coromandel panels, creating a sophisticated yet unconventional appearance characteristic of Gucci’s creations of the period.

The white dial is signed Gucci and features elegant black Roman numerals and simple hands, providing a refined contrast to the warm tones of the bracelet. The combination of the rectangular case, integrated bracelet and contrasting materials gives the watch a distinctive architectural and jewellery-like character.

Powered by a manual-winding movement, the present timepiece represents an intriguing and highly individual creation from Gucci’s 1960s watchmaking output, combining Swiss mechanical craftsmanship with the Maison’s unmistakable sense of design.
