Make It Yours

Founded in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1955, Corum rapidly established itself as one of the most creative and unconventional Swiss watch manufactures of the twentieth century. During the 1960s and 1970s in particular, the maison became celebrated for its bold experimentation with shapes, textures and jewelry-inspired aesthetics, producing highly distinctive timepieces that stood apart from traditional Swiss watch design. Among these creations, the Buckingham collection perfectly embodied the glamorous and architectural spirit of the era.

The present Corum Buckingham is a striking example of this design philosophy. Its sculptural square white gold case is enhanced by an elegant engraved bark finish, creating a remarkable interplay of light and texture that immediately recalls the refined extravagance of 1970s luxury design. The sophisticated silver linen dial, set with diamond indexes, beautifully complements the strong geometric lines of the case while maintaining an overall sense of balance and understated elegance.

Preserved in excellent overall condition, this watch perfectly illustrates Corum’s ability to merge Swiss watchmaking craftsmanship with daring and highly artistic design language.
