Introduced in the early 1960s, the Contograf quickly established itself as one of Eberhard’s most distinctive and technically innovative chronographs. Remarkably advanced for its time, the model was among the earliest wristwatches to feature a quick-set date, operated through a dedicated pusher on the case and displayed through a striking red aperture at 6 o’clock.

The present example, dating to 1963, is distinguished by its well-proportioned 39 mm stainless steel case and highly attractive reverse-panda dial, combining a glossy black surface with contrasting white subsidiary registerS.. The tachymeter and 1/5-second scales lend the dial a particularly technical character, while the red accents provide a distinctive touch of colour.

The present Contograf is further accompanied by its original box, guarantee and three additional bracelet links, making it an exceptionally complete and desirable example.

Combining innovative engineering, distinctive design, strong vintage character and remarkable completeness, the present reference 14901 represents a particularly compelling.
