The Cartier Santos had its first beginnings in 1904 when Louis Cartier created a watch for his friend, the Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont. The lot here offered is an exponent of the Santos Ronde family, in yellow gold really unusual and rare and preserved in very nice conditions. Its octagonal bezel and case is fully realized in yellow-gold and embellish with a series of cut dimonds. The over-mentioned bezel is, furthermore, important because entirely studded with diamonds that reflect the dial which contains a circle pave diamond outside ring on a champagne color, almost unique in its type since very few examples have been produced with these characteristics.
