Transparency has been an integral part of the Maison’s style for decades, from the first mystery clocks created in 1912 to the skeletonised movements of the 1930’s. Many years later and after a huge limited editions of transparent timepieces, in 2004 a skeletonized version of the legendary Tank Louis Cartier was offered to the public in a total run of 50 pieces. Fully realized in platinum with a solid 39 x 30 mm case is strikingly well preserved in almost untouched conditions. With a leather strap closed by a white-gold Cartier buckle, the peculiarity of the present watch, as previously said, is the skeleton dial that allows to perfectly see the whole movement with the blued steel épée hands. Powered by a caliber 9710MC, the lot here offered is the number 43 of 50 as testified by the engravings on the back and is further embellished with its original box and papers.
