The present reference 15 038 has a very rare black dial with baton indexes recognized by collectors as the rarest produced for this model and the large window for the date at 3 o’clock with the cyclops lens breaks the balance of the shape of the dial with its massive numbers. This lot is, furthermore, preserved in excellent condition with sharp gold marks and hallmarks under the lugs, perfectly matching the request of a costumer in search of an immaculate and beautiful object. This very watch was part of the iconic and now very sought-after watches sold at the auction Mondani Collection of Rolex Wristwatches, Antiquorum, Geneva 1 April 2006.
