Introduced in 1956, the Rolex Day-Date was the brand's first wristwatch to display both the day and date through apertures on the dial. Celebrated as one of Rolex's most iconic models, it earned the nickname 'President’s Watch' due to its association with prominent leaders, including President Eisenhower. In 1977, Rolex launched the reference 18038, powered by the innovative caliber 3055. While maintaining the classic aesthetics of its predecessors, this model introduced the convenient single quickset feature for adjusting the date. Crafted in yellow gold with a matching dial, this particular example is part of a rare series created exclusively for the U.A.E. Armed Forces, featuring their emblem prominently displayed on the dial. Preserved in excellent condition, the case showcases great proportions and crisp caseback hallmarks. Both maker's signature and U.A.E Armed Forces logo are preserved in excellent condition with no apparent signs of blemishes or imperfections.
