The present watch is a reference 1681 dating from the early 1968 with an attractive and highly unusual champagne dial. It captivates the observer for two reasons: first the layout of the disc with a very rare thin textured decoration and second, the prestigious Cartier signature located slightly below the hands, absolutely difficult to find and able to add charm and virtuosity to every watch. The tonneau case with screw back and crown of 36 mm are in 18k yellow gold the combination of all these features together with the overall very good condition of the watch, displaying sharp milling on the bezel, as well as a crisp hallmark on the underside of the upper right lug, make this watch a rare find.
