Among the many models Cartier produced of the Tank such as the Cintrée, the Chinoise or Louis Cartier Tank, that are all simply amazing, probably the most appreciated remains the Tank Americaine, created in 1989. The present lot is a specimen realized in 18k yellow gold with a two body, solid curved case with screwed bars, sapphire-set octagonal winding crown, sapphire crystal. The dial is silvered with painted radial Roman numerals, concentric minute track and blued steel epée hands. This very watch is offered in remarkable conditions, worn occasionally and well preserved.
