The Longines trademark, thanks to the technological research it has always dedicated to, has always been extremely efficient, innovative and beautiful chronographs. The present lot is an incredible creation of the beginning of the 20th century: powered by the caliber 19.73N, it is a monopusher that embodies the aesthetic of the old pocket watches. The three-body, solid, polished case with hinged back and bezel have been manufactured in silver as confirmed by the hallmark and is charming conditions with oxidation spreading all around the carrier. The crown and chronograph push-button is located at 12 o’clock between the oval shaped central lugs attached to mobile wire bows. The white enamel dial is untouched with painted black and red Arabic numerals, outer 1/5 second/minute divisions with Arabic 5 minutes, subsidiary seconds and 30-minute register dials. Blued steel Breguet hands. With the Longines Extract from the Archives confirming case, movement, production and subsequent sale on 18 November 1915 to the company Schwob, which was at that time our agent for Russia.
