The present post “Art-Deco” watch is a very elegant reference 1480 made by Patek Philippe. This very reference has been produced by 1940 till 1949 and considering its very unusual lugs has been nicknamed by collectors Twin Lugs. The lot here offered is a really nice conservation of the pink-gold case with a snap on back and highly sculpted lugs. The glass is massive and its height allows for the lugs to actually sit on a higher plan than the very beautiful pink dial. The applied dot and Arabic numerals with seconds at 6 o’clock and thin hands further decorate the quadrant. This very model is powered by the rectangular manual winding caliber 9’’’90, a trustworthy and great-looking movement proudly used by the brand for many of its shaped wristwatches. Accompanied by a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in Pink gold in 1945 and its subsequent sale on 8 March 1946.
