In 1969 references 6263 and 6265 were simultaneously launched, both with the wording “Oyster” on the dial, present for the first time in the history of the Daytona and the innovative screw pushers. The present lot is a specimen of 6263 which means that I equipped with the acrylic black, graduated bezel. Its case is in stainless steel and is equipped with a beautiful Oyster bracelet and the quality of the whole object is astonishing for the sharpness of the lugs, its satin finish and the extremely overall state of conservation. The acrylic bezel strikes for the untouched conservation but the dial is beautiful. The black, vibrant black color with applied baton numerals, ocher luminous dots and white subsidiary dial create a perfect composition, further embellished by the sigma designation on the side of the T Swiss T signature at the bottom of the dial.
