Possibly one of Patek’s most iconic wristwatches, the Nautilus was designed by Gérald Genta: among the most renowned models there’s for sure the reference 5980R-001 in 18k pink gold, launched in 2010, which was the first time that the reference was introduced with a leather strap. With the rounded octagonal shape of the bezel, the ingenious porthole architecture of the case and the dial with a horizontal pattern in relief, the present watch is offered in new old stock conditions and never worn with its original box and warranty. Matching the elegant pink gold case is an attractive coffee brown ribbed dial with a silvered subsidiary dial located on the 6 o’clock position providing an element of subtle contrast that gives this wonderful iteration of the reference 5980 a mix of elegance and sportiness. Accompanied by a Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin confirming the caliber, movement, reference, case material and the sale in 2018.
