The present lot is Jaeger LeCoultre “Deep-Sea Master Mariner” reference E-558, a professional diving wristwatch, waterproof to 400 ft, with inside turning bezel for decompression time. According to scholars, the model was produced from 1967 to 1974 in a very short production run of only 1532 pieces. The two-body tonneau-shape case watch is extremely well preserved, surprises for the conditions of the bracelet and the well-visible case numbers on the back. Under the organic glass, the matte black dial is set with painted tritium hour markers, luminous steel Baton hands, an aperture for the rimmed date at 3, a sweep center second all in excellent conditions.
