This lot is a special exponent of the Montreal family, which was launched in 1972, during a period where Heuer began to significantly expand its range of watches, trying to increase sales. The case is what makes the Montreal so special: its distinctive big dimension of 42 mm make this watch quite different from the rest of the Heuer range. The present watch is a reference 110 501 which means it is fully in PVD with also its original bracelet. A great-looking watch with almost no signs. Like all caliber 11/12/14/15 models, the watch uses fluted pushers and has the crown on the left-hand, both are not in PVD, but in a contrasting stainless steel. The Montreal dial uses the traditional bi-compax layout, with Chronograph minutes at 3 o’clock and Chronograph hours at 9 o’clock with no sweeping seconds hand on the watch.
