A number of different Cellini models throughout the course of Rolex’s history were produced and the present lot is an incredibly particular specimen with uncommon features. The two-body circular case of 32 mm with a snap on back is in 18k yellow gold, very well preserved with no signs or damages. Unlike many other examples, this watch has an integrated yellow-gold bracelet with multiple decoration. The dial is the main rarity, obtained by one of the most appreciated types of mother-of-pearl, coming from New Zealand Paua shells. Due to their opulence of colors, their intense brilliance in blue and green shades and their similarity to Black Opal, they are often called Sea Opal. To further embellish it the applied yellow-gold Arabic numerals and stick hands that recall the case and bracelet.
