In lovely original condition, the yellow-gold case pocket watch with large bezel and very thin thickness represented perfectly the Art Deco style of the period were pocket watches were the sole wearable object to tell time until the advent of the wristwatch. The present lot appears to be personalized as proved by the enamel right at the center of the case back with letters GW and P. The dial is a mix of engine-turned and smooth silver guilloché decoration which created a two-tone effect, completed by the Roman numerals, the outer seconds and minutes track with Arabic numbers and the simple Roman hands in blue steel.
