The present watch is an outstanding Calatrava for a number of reasons. Most notably, the watch is a special request for the Middle Eastern market and specifically it is a special order commissioned by Colonel Muammar Kadhaf to commemorate his speech given on Labor Day in Libya in 1978. The dial colour was a reference to his “Green Book” and is made of a pale green hardstone, and was further enhanced with part of Colonel Kadhaf’s personalized quote. Moreover the yellow-gold case of this reference 3601 has a very simple design with a stepped bezel and snap on back very well preserved. The yellow-gold bracelet is untouched with particular decoration untouched as well and has a signed folding claps. The dial, in addition to presenting all these particularities, present baton hands and a date aperture at 3 o’clock.
