Rolex is known in the world of vintage watch collecting for being one of the brands that most dared with intriguing designs. The present lot is a very pleasant example of Day-Date reference 1807, immediately recognizable for its special bezel. This reference was in production from 1959 to 1977 and 1959 to 1977. The specimen here offered is in yellow gold with lovely shape, worn with care by its prior owner testified by the deep hallmarks on the back. Another peculiarity of this lot is the gorgeous blue “Buckley” dial distinguished by the gilt painted Roman numerals and the Spanish calendar. Finely preserved, it is a worthy Day-Date for any Rolex enthusiast’s collection.
