Reference 1803 must be considered one of the most important Day-Date models ever produced. The present watch was manufactured in the early years of the introduction of the Day-Date, specifically in 1959 and its pink-gold case is still fresh as it was in that period thanks to the carefulness of the last owner. The tonneau case with screw back and reeded bezel also has a precious pink pie-pan dial in great conditions with a prefect patina that match the case and completed by the applied gold baton markers. Without luminous dots at the hour markers like many other variations of the Rolex Day-Date such as the leaf hands with black enamel used in their centers while the calendar is in English. In addition, the present lot is sold with the original box, all papers and bulletin, a true rarity to find this reference with a full set.
