Launched in 1985, the present reference 3945 is an elegant example which bears the classic perpetual calendar layout of Patek Philippe. Extremely well preserved, this watch is equipped with a very elegant argentè dial with applied baton numerals. The two counters at 3 and 9 o’clock for the date surround the sundial with the fascinating moon phases display. Although this reference is still considered young, it has already reached a state of absolute prestige among the perpetual calendar with moon phases and is now a must-have for every collector of complicated wristwatches. It is presented with a solid screw back able to guarantee waterproofing and it was produced with an integral gold bracelet whereas the reference 3940 features lugs that allow a detachable leather strap or gold bracelet. This watch is also provided with the extract from the archives confirming its white-gold case and its production in 1988 and subsequent sale on the 14th of October 1988.
