This chronograph was designed to be the ultimate timing tool for endurance racing drivers. More than 50 years after its creation, the Cosmograph Daytona remains in a class of its own among sport chronographs and continues to transcend time. The reference 116 523 was the first stainless steel and yellow-gold Daytona chronograph to feature Rolex’s new in-house caliber 4130, replacing the famed Zenith El Primero caliber 4030. The steel 40 mm Oyster case is ringed by the distinctive Daytona gold bezel and a steel case. With its two-tone coloring, steel and 18k gold, it has arguably the most versatility compared to all its steel and all gold stable mates. The white dial is untouched, gorgeous with the red Daytona signature and the applied yellow-gold baton numerals. Moreover this specimen comes with its original box and tag.
