The present Day-Date is a reference 118346 and must be regarded as one of the most luxurious versions of the model that was firstly launched in 1956. Combining the substantial platinum case and bracelet, its rarity is given by the special bezel enriched with 52 brilliant cut diamonds on the bezel. This piece can be considered the culmination of preciousness and elegance. It features the noblest case metal of all, platinum, that has been preserved in almost untouched conditions in both bracelet and case: as know, platinum is extremely rare and precious, and it is supremely striking with its silvery whiteness and vibrant effulgence. The Day Date watches have a strong identity and they are flawlessly legible, there is absolutely no clutter, and only essential precious elements are included. This case is different, in fact the silvered dial has been embellished with hour markers fashioned from round brilliant diamonds, with the 6 and the 9 being baguette step cut diamonds and outer minutes/seconds track. A Day-Date transcends its incredibly precious materials and intrinsic value with unequivocal personal meaning and will always be cherished, but this very specimen, sold with its box, is a true emotional symbol.
