Reference 9083 such as the present lot has been firstly introduced on the market in the middle of 1950’s and ever since collectors and passionates have been calling it UFO for its round case, which is reminiscent of a flying saucer. The let here offered is exceptionally well preserved with deep and crisp serial number and Rolex crown on the back. This model is atypical for the brand considering its slightly recessed crown to give a symmetrical look to the whole watch and for the geometrical lugs with a Oyster riveted look-like bracelet. The dial has developed a light and beautiful patina throughout but the main characteristics are the non-lume variety and the honeycomb texture that give a unique charm to the watch.
