In production between 2000 and 2016, the reference 116520 is one of the most relished watch models among collectors. Successor of the reference 16520, it represents the first model of Daytona with an in-house chronograph movement. Fascinating specimen in stainless steel, the lot here offered is extremely precious for being an exclusive trophy of triumph. Referred as “the Winner”, this 116520 is one of the reasons why every year professional racecar drivers around the world meet in Daytona Beach, Florida, and compete at the Daytona International Speedway. Presented as a victorious memento to principals and drivers of the winning team of the “Rolex at Daytona 24” racing event in 2014, this watch represents the spirit of Rolex and what the brand proudly stands for – vigor, victory and vivacity. The stainless steel is preserved in great conditions with the always y-catching black dial. The screw back presents the prestigious crisp and mint engravings “Rolex at Daytona 24, 2014 Winner”. Offered as a price to Mr. Ryan Newman, winner of the Daytona 24 Hours in 2008, this iconic example is offered completed with international warranty and Rolex presentation box, a truly exceptional timepiece in the history of horology and motor sports.
