Due to its distinctive features and its role as a pioneer for high-end luxury sports watches, the Royal Oak has nowadays become a cultural icon since its introduction in 1972. 11 Years later its first introduction, was presented to the market the first example with perpetual calendar complication, and in recent years the Royal Oak Quantième Perpétuel has often been the canvas on which Audemars Piguet have experimented and redefined its perpetual calendars. The here offered reference 25636PT is the non-plus-ultra in terms of preciousness, beauty and complexity, realized in a limited editions. The octagonal case with 8 screws and bracelet are fully realized in platinum, preserved in gorgeous conditions and perfect balance between utilitarian function and elegant design. Most notably, the present model features a transparent, sapphire dial with grey indicators and blackened gold hands. The layout of the dial includes all the traditional indications of a perpetual calendar: day, date, astronomical moon (with graduation for moon age), month and leap year.
