The gold Carrera 1158 CHN is probably the most iconic gold chronograph ever produced by Heuer and lunched in 1969. Known among collectors as the “Ferrari Carrera”, in fact, Heuer went under a partnership with Ferrari from 1971 until 1979 during which the Ferrari team benefited from Heuer’s timekeeping instrument and famous drivers received this watch. The present specimen is a particularly nice and well-preserved example, with the black edges of the hands matching up with the black edges of the hour markers and registers. The perfect balance between Heuer’s sporty DNA and the elegant and dressy and elegant 18K yellow-gold case, this watch embodies the glamorous era of the race track in the 1970s.
