Among the many models, Cartier produced of the Tank this Réversible Cabriolet Basculante is one of the finest creations with unusual shape. The “Tank Basculante” model was launched to the market in 1932 and in order to pay tribute to this 1930s model and to welcome the new millennial, in 1999 Cartier decided to present a watch in a limited edition of 365 pieces such as the here offered specimen. Its case has been realized in 18k yellow gold with four-body polished and brushed case, cabochon sapphire-set on the bezel and solid case back numbered 345 of 365 limited edition. Under the flat sapphire crystal, there’s an attractive guilloché silvered dial, signed “Cartier Paris”, with painted radial Roman numbers, Cartier secret signature at VII, inner railway minute divisions and blued steel Spade hands. The hallmarks and engravings are all clearly defined and highly legible. This very watch is offered in remarkable conditions, worn occasionally and well preserved.
