The present timepiece is an extremely rare and historically important piece of archive from World War II. Preserved in exceptional condition and still fully intact, this rare and important Tensoku-Doke was manufactured by Seikosha and is also known as the “Kamikaze” as it was originally worn by Kamikaze pilots in action during WWII. Considering this detail, it follows how the lot here offered is extremely rare: there was only very few examples made and even less are still preserved today, as most disappeared, having been destroyed in the wreckage or lost in action along with its owner. The present example is in very impressive condition considering the history and purpose of this military timepiece with a gorgeous mat black dial, big Arabic numbers and outer 5 minutes/seconds red track.
